SSL Configuration for Websites
It is very important to enable SSL certificate for security and performance. Sense Defence made it easy to deploy SSL certificates through WAF dashboard. Follow the steps below to enable SSL/TLS protection for your application.
Select SSL Settings
Sense Defence provides multiple options for users to enable SSL for their applications.
Navigate to Applications > SSL > Overview
Please select the site from the drop down list to begin the SSL configurations.
- InSecure: No encryption applied
- Adaptive: Encrypts traffic between the browser and Sense Defence
- Adaptive E2E: Encrypts end-to-end, using a self signed certificate on the server
- Advanced E2E: Encrypts end-to-end, but requires a trusted CA or Sense Defence Origin CA certificate on the server

Sense Defence Recommends to use Advanced E2E (End to End) for enhanced security. To install SSL certificate for origin servers, you can generate "Origin Certificate" from Sense Defence Dashboard to install on backend servers at free of cost. This certificate is privately trusted by Sense Defence and all the communication from Sense Defence to origin server will be encrypted using this certificate.
